Autobiographical - Essay Example Especially I liked listening to the story of Pocahontas and John Smith, as they had some connection with me and my sister. The Indians, whose chief was Powhatan, shared the land with the colonists, the leader of which was John Smith. Powhatan wanted to kill John as he was invading the land of the Native Americans. But his daughter Pocahontas, who saw in John Smith an intelligent person and a good leader , came to rescue him putting her head on his when her father Powhatan was trying to kill John. This was the story that gave birth to my sisters name; Pocahontas - after Powhatan’s daughter and my name; John- in the memory of John Smith.
